Using a Vault to Send & Receive Bitcoin
At their core, Guardblock Vaults are simple bitcoin wallets with powerful recovery features.
This article explains how to use a Guardblock Vault to send & receive bitcoin.
For the guides located in this article, I am using a Ledger Nano S+ to send bitcoin from a Shield Vault to a Practice Vault within the same Guardblock account.
For sending bitcoin out of a Guardblock Vault, you will need access to your hardware signing device so that you can sign the transaction when prompted.
Receiving Bitcoin into a Guardblock Vault
Step One: Login to your Guardblock account and navigate to the Vault where you want to receive Bitcoin. The Vault should open on the 'Deposit' setting automatically.

Step Two: Copy the address by clicking on it.
You can verify the address has been correctly derived from your private key by clicking on "Verify Address" and following the prompts. To do this, you will need your hardware device handy to verify the address on your device's screen.
Step Three: Paste the address into your sending wallet and send the bitcoin. For receiving bitcoin, all thats left is simply waiting for the transaction to confirm on the blockchain!
You may be using an external location, such as an exchange account, or a different bitcoin wallet, to send bitcoin and fund your vault. In those cases, please refer to that particular platform's guide on sending bitcoin, and when prompted you can paste the address into the appropriate field there.
Sending Bitcoin from a Guardblock Vault
In this example, I am using a different Guardblock Vault to send bitcoin to the Practice Vault shown in the previous example.
Step One: Login to your Guardblock account and navigate to the Vault you wish to send funds from. Click on the 'Withdraw' button underneath your balance to view the required sending fields.
Paste in the address from the wallet you want to send funds to.
Enter the amount you wish to send in either bitcoin or fiat, or click the Max button to move all available bitcoin.
Choose the sending type - Normal, Fast or Manual. If you select Manual, you will need to input the fee rate yourself. You can visit mempool.space to view the current fee market.

Step Two: Click Withdraw. You will then be taken to the Withdrawal page where you can review the transaction and sign it with your hardware signing device.

FYI: You will get an email notifying you that a Withdrawal Request has been created.
Plug in your hardware signing device, and click Sign. You will then see your device instructions to follow. Click on Sign Transaction.

Using your hardware device, you should then see the transaction details there. Verify the recipient address and amount is correct, then sign using your device.
If you see the below error, it means you have another Guardblock page open in a different browser tab that is 'using' your hardware device. Close that tab and then try again.

Step Three: Once successfully signed with your device, you should then arrive back at your Vault and see the transaction is pending and your balance has been reduced by the amount sent.

You can click on the Eye icon to view details about the transaction, such as the transaction ID.

You can click on the View on Mempool.space link to view the transaction in a blockchain explorer to confirm it has gone out to the network.

You're done! Simply wait for the network to produce blocks and confirm transactions, and your balance in the receiving wallet will update, depending on the fee rate you used and the number of confirmations required by your receiving wallet.
