Using 2FA with GuardBlock

With GuardBlock, 2FA (2 Factor Authentication) is used to protect sensitive actions on your account. This is so we can be more certain it's really you taking an action on your account, and not a fraudster who found your account email and password.

2FA isn't required right from the start of creating an account with us, but it is required to enable certain actions on your account and make full use of GuardBlock. It is highly recommended you set it up, and be sure to use a reputable authenticator app.

Here are the actions that require 2FA authorisation before they can be completed:

• Logging into your GuardBlock account (optional - can be toggled on or off)
• Submitting your Recovery Information (used to facilitate vault recovery)
• Initiating Vault Recovery
• Cancelling Vault Recovery

We may require existing or new features to have 2FA enabled before they can be accessed.
